• Include hematology data for blood smears.
• Use cardboard slide mailers to protect glass slides.
• Fill out the Purolator Bill of Lading as shown in the following example.
• Use Puroletters NOT PuroPaks to enclose sample.

Submit only the following:

• Stained & Unstained Air-dried Smears
• Clinicopathologic results for interpretation
• Your numerical data may be faxed, emailed or mailed using our submission forms provided (remember to add reference intervals!)
• Direct & Sedimented smears of fluids should be prepared ASAP after collection to preserve integrity of cells and formed elements
• If Smears of fluids are submitted, provide gross description of the fluid (colour, odour, clarity, viscosity, volume)

Do Not Submit:

• Specimens for testing (ie. Serum, whole blood, etc.).

LabVet will provide consultations and interpretations of the smears or data you provide, but we do not process specimens for analysis.
