Judith A. Taylor, DVM, DVSc., DACVP

A
1984 graduate of OVC, Judy spent four years in small animal
practice before returning to Guelph to complete postgraduate
studies in clinical pathology. After teaching for one year,
she joined Labstat in 1992 as medical director, and provided
clinical pathology diagnoses for practitioners Canada-wide.
In 1997 she returned to OVC as Special Graduate Faculty in
the department of Pathobiology teaching clinical pathology
and providing diagnostic services for the VTH. She became
a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists
in 2000. She is the author/co-author of 4 book chapters, 13
manuscripts and 5 self-instructional computer modules in clinical
pathology. A recipient of 16 graduate and undergraduate awards,
Judy has presented seminars in clinical pathology at numerous
national and international veterinary meetings including AAHA
and the annual meeting of the American Society of Veterinary
Clinical Pathology. Immune hematopathology, oncology, and
endocrinology are of special interest, and she enjoys challenging,
atypical cases, emphasizing that "animals don't read
the book". Judy lives in Guelph with her husband, their
three children and assorted four-legged companions.
